This is a 2 disc set, the CD with 16 songs (compared to 14 on the other version) and a DVD with the music video for Suck, and some interviews. This is a hard call. I feel the 2 songs are excellent, one for sure is going to be a big hit. The interviews are typical "behind the scenes" stuff, just nice if you want to see Kelly and hear her thoughts on some things. I bought both CD and CD/DVD packages because I just had to have the 2 extra songs. If 2 songs and seeing Kelly talking about stuff are important to you, get this one, otherwise the CD only version is good enough. If the 2 extra songs are available for download, then I'd get them that way and add the CD only version. Getting them both is overkill, but no matter which one you buy, you will be very satisified with the music. It's probably going to be Album of the Year.
Here is my review for the other 14 songs on this DVD/CD
Ever wait for an artist only to be disappointed? Ever buy a CD put it in the player and 12 songs later in they all sound the same? Well that will not happen with this CD! I've been listening to this over on the MTV leaked site for 3 days. It was a bit of a jolt the first time through. "Wow, what the heck was that?" There is so much variety on this CD, you might think it was different artists or someone switched the CD while you raided the ref. But it's all Kelly. Just like we love her, plus some more. Big vocals, catchy beat, some funny stuff, some pop, some rock, a little techno, one even "contemporary Christian sounding." It's got anthems, ballads, the classic Kelly Jilted Love Songs... One thing it is NOT is country. Whatever buffoon started that "Kelly's next album is going to be country" rumor last year has egg all over his or her face. So I'm calling this Kelly Plus. It's true Kelly Clarkson, plus some extra stuff we didn't expect. Totally Cool Beans Kelly.
Added: I just had to add a couple of things. $9.99? Holy smokes. I thought that was a pre-release only price and that it'd jump up after release. If you want to get this CD, now is the time. (And you will, trust me. Once you hear some of these songs on the radio, you'll be wishing you bought it now. :)
Also, you can d/l Sucks from walmart for free. Goto Kelly's website (kellyofficial) and look for the "dove" ad.
Prediction: I Want You will be a #1 single, (You just can't get it out of your head. :) ) and Long Shot, Impossible, Ready, all have excellent chances to get in the top 10. If I Can't Have You will be a big dance hit. (Reminds me of Terri Nunn/Berlin, but better.) I even "like" Whyyawannabringmedown, but not for the song, but for that fact that she finally got "that" out of her system because the next 5 songs are awesome. (You'll understand when you listen to the CD.) There are not many performers that could pull off such a range of unique styles of music, yet she does, and they all are core "Kelly Clarkson." Amazing.
I can only say THANK YOU KELLY! Every minute waiting for this CD was worth it. See you at the show. We'll be near the front again. Can't wait!

Then I went and compared these ratings to my ratings for Kelly's other CDs. I was very surprised. Here is my matrix:
1 2 3 4 5 AVG
0 1 1 6 3 -> 4.0 (Thankful)
0 0 2 4 5 -> 4.2 (Breakaway)
0 3 2 4 4 -> 3.7 (My December)
0 0 3 5 8 -> 4.4* (All I Ever Wanted)
From a stictly personal taste, I'm saying this is her best CD to date, at least for now. Just in case you want to know, I ranked each song 1 to 5 stars, 1 star=1 point, 2 stars = 2 points etc. Then add up the points and divide by the total no. of songs to get the average. Sorry, Amazon messes up the formating of the matrix. :-( But you can probably figure it out. :-)

I'm a big Kelly Clarkson fan. I've been her fan since 2002 during her American Idol days. I've been to eight of her concerts, and I hope to go to more in the future when my health gets better. I met Kelly Clarkson in person at the Dasani Fest in 2005 during the NCAA Final Four Championship in St. Louis. Kelly was the headlining performer along with Gavin DeGraw, Joss Stone, Better Than Ezra, and Michael Tolcher. I was crammed like a sardine all day and evening and didn't eat or go to the bathroom all day because that concert was crowded even to the streets and there was no room to move, but it was worth it to meet Kelly Clarkson in person and give her all her early birthday presents that I bought for her. Kelly really liked the Texas Monopoly board game I gave her, and she wore the Urban Outfitters t-shirt and trucker caps and bracelet I gave her to future meet and greets and radio and TV interviews she did. I reported my experience under an alias username when I used to post regularly on Kelly Clarkson Express, the best Kelly Clarkson website/fansite on the Internet. I don't post on any board now because of having to focus more of my energy on work and my health, but I will always be a Kelly Clarkson fan even after I die. When I met Kelly, I ended up talking to her for a long time. Kelly's a really humble, kind, loving, down-to-earth person. And Kelly Clarkson is the best singer on this planet. I'm always happy when good things happen for Kelly because she's such a good person. If you stop by the Hard Rock Cafe in Dallas, check out Kelly's huge picture. I was so excited to see her picture at the Hard Rock Cafe when I visited Dallas this year. Kelly deserves to be one of the artists recognized there. Really. And after I had surgery this year, I tried my first Jamba Juice in honor of Kelly - she used to work at a Jamba Juice before she became famous. The Jamba Juice drink was excellent. Anyways, I'm a music nut who has been to many concerts in my lifetime ranging from Bob Dylan, Ziggy Marley, Matchbox Twenty, Rolling Stones, U2, Chuck Berry, Simon & Garfunkel, Prince, Shania Twain, Norah Jones, Robert Plant/Jimmy Page, Alicia Keys, Destiny's Child, Celine Dion, Tim McGraw/Faith Hill, Black-Eyed Peas, Christina Aguilera, Cher, Josh Groban, Tori Amos, Def Leppard, Joan Jett, Yes, Pearl Jam, Sheryl Crow, Dave Matthews Band, Van Halen, Santana, etc. I'm not lying when I say that I've attended more than a hundred concerts in my short life, but Kelly Clarkson is truthfully the only artist whom I attended more than one concert for. She's the only artist who I actually drove to more than one state for. Yes, Kelly is that good and so worth traveling the long distance for. When I'm feeling down about anything such as stress at the workplace or health-related issues, I listen to Kelly's music. Listening to Kelly's music and being her fan has helped me through so much. People may come and go in my life, but Kelly's music and being her fan will always be the one constant in my life. If anybody slams or criticizes Kelly in front of my face, guess who will be one of the first people who defends her - me. And I have all of Kelly's CDs playing in my car each day, and I never tire of them. Like I said, I love music and own many CDs by many artists, and I love going to concerts of many music genres - Classical, R&B, Folk, Country, Pop, Adult Contemporary, Rock, Urban, Reggae - you name it - but Kelly Clarkson will always be my favorite artist, no matter what. As for this CD, All I Ever Wanted - it's excellent. My favorites are: "My Life Would Suck Without You", "I Do Not Hook Up", "Cry", "Don't Let Me Stop You", "Already Gone", "Save You", and "Long Shot". Kelly's a great songwriter, and I will always think Kelly was the best authentic talent to come out of "American Idol". This girl can sing all genres of music, and she really feels the lyrics of any song she sings. Kelly's the most versatile singer out there right now. This girl could record herself singing the telephone book, and I would buy that. This girl is an old, mature, experienced soul for someone of such a young age. And I love the fact that Kelly's a real person who goes through ups and downs in life. And I love that her songs reflect both the ups and downs of life and that she's being true to herself and true to her fans. Kelly's one of the most real, genuine artists and people out there. I highly recommend this "All I Ever Wanted" CD. There's not one dull song on this album. And I've listened to this CD a hundred times. This album is well worth the money. And I can't wait for her new album to arrive! I'm always looking forward to more new music from Kelly! Kelly never lets me or her fans down with her music.

All I Ever Wanted!
Reviewed in Canada on May 8, 2012
Another good CD from the American Idol Pop princess franchise. One can so easily see why she won and why she's still regarded as the best winner to have come out of that franchise.
The songs that I liked are:
1.All I Ever Wanted: Obviously she decided to put out a CD that was more geared to acceptance by youth in the pop/dance construction to alot of the songs on this CD and this song is one of those. It is a song about the tug & pull of love which Kelly writes about alot and does it so well. I love the vocal..and the instrumentation arrangement of the song will get you up to dance as it works so well.
2.Already Gone: This song got alot of radio play when it came out & to me is one of my favorites on the CD. Such amazing lyrics & her vocal is just flawless. How does she reach some of those notes like it's just nothing! I loved the beats running through the song. The lyrics are of course about the eventual loss of love and the perspective of the person leaving the relationship.
3.Save You: I like the up & down flow of the vocals on this song. This is a song interspersed with a wide range of feelings about some sort of loss of a relationship that she wishes that she could have done more to keep. It attempts to show regret and faith in the lyrics. I just loved a piece of piano work done close to the ending of this song. I think they should have used that piano work as the actual ending for the song vs. the drums.
4."Whyyawannabringmedown": This song has a rock/punk sound to it. This was a real departure from Kelly's usual mix of ballads, pop & rock. I expected Avril Lavigne to jump out of the CD jacket on this one! It sure was a cool change-up!
5.Impossible: You wouldn't want the intro for this song to be your alarm clock song in the morning but it fits the song. I love this song and it got alot of radio play when this CD came out. This song is about someone who has a realization that sometimes the imprint of those that touch our lives, leave us with things about our own characters that we need to alter. This is true for sure & how cool that she has the intelligence to understand it. Her vocals on this are just wicked!
6.If No One Will Listen: This is one of Kelly's best ballads I think; an absolutely precious song. It demonstrates how gifted she is in her delivery of lyrics like this. This song is on my favorite playlist & will stay there forever I think; it's that good. Just expceptional!
7.My Life Would Suck Without You: This song will definetly give you your dose of "Let's hit the dance floor"! I can just see when this song came out how much the club DJ's played this one. It's a cool song to shake your bootie too! Ha! Ha!
8.Cry: This is for all you Kelly "Can't get enough of your ballads" junkie fix for sure. It is a song about when you have split with someone but then bump into them to me & the feelings that come up emotionally after such an encounter. You know that you aren't really totally over that love but attempt to act like it was nothing until your alone & then the tears just flow like a water tap.
This CD while not being my favorite Kelly CD is a great CD just the same. These to me are the gems of the CD that relate to my own personal preferences. For sure pick it up as it's worth it to have in your collection for all Kelly diehard fans!
Enjoy!

5 étoiles : après le malheureux échec de My December en 2007, Clarkson a enchaîné avec All I Ever Wanted en 2009, un album donnant la pêche et remontant le moral. Ce CD est l'un des meilleurs de Clarkson sans aucun doute ! :D
